Fire Dance

fire dance 2
Beautiful, vibrant, and full of warmth
Dances freely along with the wind

But isn’t ironic, that one of the most beautiful of all creations…
Is made to be ultimately untouchable?

Sometimes, I think of you as the flame.

I always loved water: its serenity, calmness, along with its powerful soars. But recently, I’ve noticed just how breathtakingly beautiful fire can be. And so, I did a series of photography experimentation playing with flames, shadow, and movement.

Life of a Clay

Do you know?

When the Potter starts to wedge you…

You realize that you are full of impurities that needed to be cleaned. So many little pebbles and bitterness that needed to be taken out. So many rough edges that needed to be carved out. Lighthouse

lighthouse

Clear blue water
Then high tide waves
Black storm
And windswept sky
Can you still hear my whispers in the rain?
Just wait,
I’ll build a lighthouse just for us.

For me, a lighthouse is a symbol of hope, and the promise to stand strong, despite of whatever circumstances we might face.

I painted this picture and wrote its accompanying piece sometime ago, as a reminder that Continue reading Lighthouse
